So you want to try your luck at Poker. Okay! First off, let's get you to the Poker Mavens site.

 

In your browser window, this is the image that will come up. It only takes a few seconds for the connection to establish itself. So if you find yourself waiting too long, try refreshing the page.

 

 

As shown above, click on Account....Create, and a new window will pop up.

 

First, create your "Player Name", it's up to you whether you want to enter the same username you have in Voodoo. For the purposes of Tournament play, where you will be transferring mojo to the Tournament Host in Voodoo, it would make things much simpler if you kept the same name as in Voodoo. For "Location", you can put the State or Province you're from, or you can make something up, if you wish that to be anonymous. The same applies to "Your real name". Selecting "Gender" should be fairly simple, check for innie or outie and click on what applies. lol As for "Password", enter something you won't easily forget, with a minimum of 6 digits, and "Confirm". As for "Your e-mail address", please use a valid e-mail, as you will need it to retrieve your password, should you forget, and it is also needed to Validate your Poker Mavens Account.

 

 

After you have created your new account and had it validated, you want to click Login next.

 

 

Enter in your username and password and click okay. In the lobby, you will be directed to click on the Tournament tab, and told what table to highlight.

 

As shown above, highlight the very first table, unless we are in a Tournament and have more than 10 people ready to play, this should be the table you highlight when playing. After highlighting the table, Observe Table and Register will now appear in the bottom right corner. Click on Register.

 

 

Once all have registered, the Administrator will start the game. Seating is random, everyone starts off with the same amount of poker chips, and naturally you are the only person who can see your cards. And let the Games begin !

 

***For Tournament Play***

1. Anyone who wishes to play can do so. First table buy in is 5k in mojo, to be sent to tabooluv in Voodoo. If you want to play, but can't afford the buy in, I will pay for your seat. However, should you win, the mojo will go to me as the risk of mojo was mine. If you prefer you can borrow mojo from a friend in Voodoo and then your seat and winnings will be yours.

2. If we have more than one table running, the top three winners from each table go on to play Finals. Because there are 10 seats, anyone wishing to buy into the Finals Table can do so by IMing me in Voodoo, and transferring another 5k in mojo. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you are not in the top 3 on any table, you're best off to IM right away to try to buy in to finals.

3. We are going to try to schedule a regular game each week night at the same time. Whether we play for fun or play for mojo will depend on the amount of people wanting to play Tournament. Anyone wishing to be notified of regular or Tournament games, should leave their name with me, tabooluv. On occasion, we have games held randomly. These games are announced using MSN Messenger either by me, or by UB. If you would like to be informed of random games, contact master-ub-the-shroom or myself, tabooluv in Voodoo and we can exchange MSN info privately.

4. Depending on the players, we may also run a High Rollers Tournament. These will be set by the group playing at the time, but will be 10k to 15k to 20k and up. For a High Roller Tournament, the one initially requesting it will have to get some players together to agree on what the mojo ante will be. And will be responsible for contacting myself, and UB if the game is not set at the regular times.

5. For anyone who has joined already, or will be joining shortly. I would very much like to see some support, in that you also inquire among your friends, others who might be interested in joining future Tournaments or friendly games.
